Meet the team
CEIS Coordinator
In 2008 God led Karen from the government side of education to the ministry side! Karen has witnessed so much growth that is testimony to God’s good guidance. Schools trusting, churches partnering, volunteers uniting and individuals donating have all grown over the years and contribute to the most important growth desired – children knowing our God who is love, and following Jesus who is the way!
Staff
Marike Jago
Marike has a heart for children knowing a God who loves them. She has years of experience working with her own children, church children and now Canberra’s local school children. Marike is inspired by the ministry of Jesus, who loves and includes all. Her added flair in creative arts is well suited to our curriculum development and engaging delivery.
Caz Morton
Caz has a background of youth and children’s ministry, and SRE in NSW. She brings with her a wonderful mix of student programs across diverse cultures, needs and settings, including internationally. This dynamic adds a rich layer of understanding for our CEIS participants in Canberra, who come from global backgrounds too!
Jessica Feilds
Jessica lives in Yass but is excited to be part of the team working with Canberra’s young people. Jessica’s experience with both primary and high school RE, and as a school chaplain, contribute greatly to the CEIS work and vision. Jess has seen God at work in the lives of many young people and understands the value of all who commit to walk alongside them.
