Why we exist
Why Christian Education In Schools?
The ACT Education Act 2004 addresses the fact that parents within the government education system may desire specific religious education for their children. In response to this allowance for parents the ACT Churches’ Council established Christian Education In Schools – CEIS.
CEIS is coordinated by qualified teachers who facilitate policy adherence, curriculum planning, volunteer training, session delivery and professional liaison with families, schools, ETD, churches and other relevant organisations.
CEIS does what it does as a community service and to assist improved understanding and respect for Christian faith, hope and love. CEIS views this as an integral part of holistic education.
Vision
With modern, interactive sessions CEIS engages students and professionally services the requests for Christian Education.
Mission
