What is in the CEIS curriculum?

Christian Education (CE) aims to engage students in interactive sessions that encourage them to seek…question…explore their spirituality and Christianity as a personal faith option.

Schools with new requests for CE will receive a one-hour session each term, being:

Term1: Easter Extravaganza – exploring what this world-wide festival really means
Term 2: Beyond You – wondering about yourself, others, nature and God
Term 3: Bible Bonanza – discovering the world’s biggest-selling book
Term 4: Christmas Celebrations – responding to the traditional Christmas story

Students in schools with existing CE programs continue to receive CE in one of several alternative formats, some that have consolidated with respect and rapport over many years and through legislation changes. These formats include:

  • Easter and Christmas week blocks (a series of CE lessons during one week)
  • term assemblies
  • fortnightly CE sessions
  • weekly CE sessions
